Moore 1, Barker 3, Kirkland 1

Moore looked very good tonight. He is now my leader over Kirkland and
Barker for PG. I do believe that he has to earn it though and one good
game against a so-so team does not do that for me. Barker is still the
point guard on this team but I think it only takes one more good game from
Chad to take it over. The team looked like it was having fun with Chadd at
the point even when the score was close. Chadd was feeding the post,
kicking it out to the three guys (Bobbitt and Field), penetrating to the
hole. I thought what was most important though was that he played good
defense. At the tip of the game when they had an easy basket and he
blocked the shot I thought that was a big moment for him. I think it said
"Hey buddy you can play with these guys" and play he did. Keep in mind
that we scored 81 points while shooting only 4 of 22 behind the arc. We
had a lot of open three's missing tonight.

I love Hicks and Max in the game at the same time. They both can keep a
ball alive, grab the rebound and block shots. If we only had an athletic
center this team could be really good in a few weeks. I was disappointed
in Kirkland tonight but still have high hopes for him. 13 minutes, 2
points and 4 turnovers is not getting the job done. I really like that Bob
played a lot of people and gave the freshmen a chance to earn more playing
time. Hicks and Moore did that. Kirkland did not.

Key stat for the battle at Point Guard.

Barker for the season 13 from the free throw line.
Moore last night 7 from the free throw line.

This is key for a couple of reasons. It helps to get the other team into
foul trouble, shows you are aggressive and gives you free points. I would
like better than 4 of 7 from the free throw line but that isn't any worse
than what Barker has shot this season. Actually it is probably better than
our team average :-(

M!
