By my count, West averaged 16.0 points and 10.5 rebounds in those games
while getting to the line an average of 7.3 times per game.  I don't know
about you, but I would KILL to get those numbers out of any current UC
player.

And yet he still manges to make all-american teams and post averages of 18.3
PPG and 9.8 RPG.  'Mentally weak' or not, the guy is an absolute force in
the post.  Couple that with the fact that UC's post defense has been
atrocious and the Bearcats have been outrebounded by the likes of Dayton and
Valpo, and West has to be chompin' at the bit to get a piece of this rather
meek bunch of cats.

David West is a heck of a player, and IMO the 'mentally weak argument is
bunk.  Let's not forget that West put up 23 points and 13 rebounds the last
time he stepped on the floor at the Shoemaker center.
