Can somone summarize Huggins' post-game comments followingI'll try to remember, maybe someone else will fill in or correct where appropriate.
the UD game?
Chuck thought Huggs would be pleased with the improved effort.
Huggs said Dayton is a good team with returning players and senior leadership.
Chuck suggested the 'Cats are young and will improve as the season progresses. Bob responded with Stokes has been here 4 years, Maxiell got a lot of minutes last year. The problem isn't the teams inexperence, it's nobody listens. They don't work hard in practice. The coaches do a great job of scouting, tell who can and will do what, who only goes certain directions etc. They hit the floor, the other team does what the scouting report said they would do and the team doesn't react. I don't mind loosing a game as long as the effort is there.
Maxiell's first half 2nd foul was dumb. You don't swipe at the ball when you alrady have 1 foul in under 2 minutes.
Huggs: I accept responsibility for them not being ready. We've got the Christmas break coming and then their mine. I can't trade them but I can cut them.
Short turnaround for the Valpo game. UC has handed out more NBA scout passes for Valpo then they have for Xaiver on Saturday.
