I think that Max is going to be a superstar before it is all said and done but.....I think this is Stokes year to become our next all-american. I really believe that he will have one of the best seasons ever as a Bearcat.

Dan Wetzel of CBS Sportsline identifies Jason Maxiell as one of twelve
"Difference Maker's" for this upcoming season. Here's his quote -
Nobody has done a better job consistently developing superstar players
than Bob Huggins (neither Steve Logan nor Kenyon Martin were coveted
recruits). That helps explain the Bearcats' seven consecutive Conference
USA championships. For the title to remain in Cincinnati, Huggins will
need a big year from Maxiell, a tenacious and skilled 6-7 forward.
The sophomore from Texas averaged 8.1 points and 6.8 rebounds last year
while starting just three games. But the work ethic and skill level he
displayed in practice had Huggins calling him "our next All-American."
High praise from a tough coach. With just one starter returning from a
31-victory team, there is no time like the present for Maxiell to assert
himself.
