I think this guy at least thought things out well, and defended his
position. If you are looking strictly at the two combos, he may be right,
but last I checked, there are 5 players on a team and I do expect Lenny to
be better and more consistent this year. We of course, get to find out!

Subject: [UC Basketball] Check This one out

I was reading the XU board, and saw this one:
- - - - - --
I too think UC will have a typically solid year, but that doesn't bother
me.
I only want them to lose one game. The rest of the time I invite wins
from
them b/c it helps us. What I hate is when they win and their fans crow
about it, all the while refusing to believe they are winning in a
conference
that is no better than the A-10. But anywho.....

And I too thought the "not far behind" comment from Katz was a bit
puzzling.
How can you compare Sato and West with Stokes and Maxiell? Maxiell is a
damn good player, no doubt, but Stokes is spotty at best. All season last
year UC fans were complaining about how Stokes never showed up in big
games
on the road. He really needs to step up this year with Logan gone but I
just don't see it happening. Stokes can be very good, but he rarely shows
it. I'll wager anyone that the Sato-West combo has a much better season
than the Stokes-Maxiell combo. Maxiell will step it up big time this year
for UC but I have a feeling we'll see a mediocre Leonard Stokes. And
he'll
be NOWHERE near as good as Sato.

Me thinks that they are not giving Lenny enough credit. I think he will
out
perform Sato
and be more consistent. I also think that Max is going to give Pampers
Dave
a run for
his money. Tell me how West beats Max's D. Shoot over him? Only the
fade
away,
drive around? Maybe, but he may eat the rock...
