Well said, lets not forget how many games we needed Logan to carry this team
last year. I remember many times when he was simply the only guy who could
score for us.
McElroy had games where he shut down guys like Jobey Thomas, and when Mac
sat down, Jobey torched our other defenders. Mac also stepped up late in
ball games to grab big rebounds when the score was close.
Would we have even beaten marginal teams like SLU on the road if it weren't
for Logan? Maybe, but it sure would have been a lot tougher.
Hopefully Stokes is going to turn it on for the entire season instead of 3
or 4 game stretches. Barker is going to need to play smart and make other
people better, we don't need (or want) him to try to replace Logan, we just
need him to defend and keep people honest while in our offense.
I don't have a problem being ranked in the 30's, most 'experts' do exactly
what Steve has stated below. They see who you lost and whether or not you
have any incoming McD AA's.
I have no doubts that we will have another 25+ win season. I could care less
if we never break the top 10 next year, just get us in the tourney and let
us be the ones beating a higher seed for a change.

Because its an 'easy' pick for the media.backcourt
Xavier returns with their All-American C (West) and their starting
intact.no
UC returns minus their All-American (Logan), without the C-USA defensive
player of the year (McElroy), and no McDonalds All-Americans in their
recruiting class. The Bearcats are going to have an inexperienced PG and
'go to' scorer at the outset of the season. I can certainly understandwhy
the national media thinks the Bearcats will be down.
That said, I think the Bearcats will prove 'em wrong .... again!
