RE: AWOL???

The highlights I saw from last night on TV showed BJ playing. Big news:
He is still fat. They showed some players duck taping his shorts around
him. I don't know why, maybe the elastic ripped out. I don't know about
the other guys. I would not go by those rosters. They are always
changed. I am sure some of those guys are plyaing if not most.

Anyone know why some of the UC returning players aren't playing in the
summer league. It seems like some of the players who need to develop
the
most are absent - Grove, Flowers, Hollman, Lucas, Hubbard?

And you would think Barker would be present to go head to head with
Moore.
Especially because I think Moore is going to be biting at the bit to get
the
starting position.

That has to be the best Summer league team ever assembled. They would
be
fun to watch if they could all play together!

Like last year, the Slats team that plays at this summer's Deveroe's
Summer League will host the UC recruits. The team features Terrance
Davis, Bobby Brannen and Mel Levett plus the recruits Bobbitt, Hicks,
Chadd, Kareem and Armein Kirkland. Also listed on the team is former
UC recruit Alonzo Evans.

Another team of interest for UC fans is the John Flessa Law Office
team
that includes Corie Blount, LaZelle Durden, AD Jackson, Herb Jones,
Steve Logan, Erik Martin, Jason Maxiell, Ruben Patterson, Leonard
Stokes
plus some others.

I have to say that if even >one game< occurs when all of these guys
are
available for Flessa, I'd be surprised. I believe Logan left for
California two days after the draft. Herb lives in Columbus and Corie
in
Middletown, so it would be great to see them. The Flessa law office
play
their first game today at 3pm. Slats first game is Tuesday night.

As will every summer league team, rosters aren't finalized into a week
or two into the competition. (But if that Flessa team is intact
above,
just give them the championship trophy and save some time).
