I agree. One year of rumors is one thing but Huggs is in the news EVERY SINGLE year involving another school. I dont know of another college coach that stays in the news so much about leaving his current school.

I agree with you 100%, BUT, we all know how the media reacts to situations
like this. And, Huggs knows the media as well as anybody, so it's no
surprise to anybody when the media jumps all over this. So, WHY even take a
chance of hurting yourself by having this lunch. It just seems like Bob is
putting himself in a situation that is gonna create a media frenzy that
could have easily been avoided.

Nobody knows what was talked about during this lunch. And to imply
anything is a stretch as far as I'm concerned. For all we know, Huggs
could have been trying to sell the Denver GM on the talents of the UC
seniors available in the upcoming NBA draft. The hyperactive media of
course will try to read into this that Huggs in pursuing the Nuggets
job. Heck...I'm surprised no one has written that Huggs has taken the
Nuggets job already.

Is it just me or is anyone else getting sick of this. Huggs has an
"informal" lunch with Nuggets GM Kiki Vandeweghe and then wants to play
it off as it not meaning anything. It has already been reported that
the Kiki is intrigued by Huggs and that the Nuggets may pursue him for
thier head coaching position. So WHY would Bob agree to have lunch with
him if he has no intent of at least not listening to a potential offer.
All Huggs is doing is creating more controversy and potentially hurting
his recruiting. With so many top level recruits seriously considering
UC, why would you (as a head coach) take a chance at giving these
recruits a reason to not pick UC.
It seems like Bob just likes to make controversy. Unless he is
seriously considering taking the Denver job, I can't see any reason why
he would do this.
I'm not trying to stir up anything. I'm just getting frustrated with
this year in and year out.
