FW: Huggins Lunches with Nuggets GM

From: Schroeder, Tom

I would think that if Bob is 100% not interested in the NBA for the time
being, he has already communicated this to any potential recruit...and
conversely, if he is entertaining offers of coaching in the NBA, it is
already too late with regards to our coaching situation let alone our
recruiting situation...so bottom line, let's not get in a lather about any
of this...we, the general public, are typically the last to hear anything
about anything so just because we see something happening like this lunch,
everything that needs to happen either way has already been taken care
of...relax...

On another note, I heard that the Summer League is being delayed to start at
the end of June (the 29th?) and run through July instead of starting
mid-June. The reason being that the NCAA was delayed in reviewing the
components of this summer league, as they must do for all such events in the
summer. It will be at Oak Hills. Stay tuned for schedules in the Enquirer
some time around June 27, 28 or 29.

FACT: Bob Huggins is good friends with most of the Nuggets administration
going back to when Danny Fortson was drafted by them. He is also friends
with their owner.

FACT: Kenny Satterfield is currently on the Nuggets roster.

FACT: The Nuggets have worked out Steve Logan.

QUESION: There are probably other topics to discuss at the luncheon
besides the head coaching job.

I understand that the Nuggets are going to hire a coach with NBA experience
-- most likely Don Nelson or Eddie Jordan.
