I think you can include Sacramento in that notion of team basketball.
Both NJ and Sac have 7 players that averaged 9+ ppg in the season.
Kenyon 'led' NJ with just under 15 ppg, while both Peja and Webber had
20+ ppg for Sacramento.
While the NBA gets a lot of grief from college bball fans, I personally
like it. The strategies are different but there are a helluva lot more
similarities than differences.
My biggest complaint of late about the NBA is the officiating. I think
collectively, this year has been terrible for officiating. The need for
a "make up" call to balance out the bad-call/non-call is getting out of
hand.

The Nets are really quite a story. They have reintroduced the NBA to
the concept of "team" basketball. I think I heard correctly that the
Nets are the first NBA playoff team in history without a player in the
top 50 in the league in scoring. The rest of the NBA doesn't quite know
yet what to make of this team; if they did, Jason Kidd would have been
the MVP.
If you have a long-standing dislike of the NBA, watch the Nets in the
finals and then next year (they should be on a lot more). I'm not
saying it's the same as college basketball (the most exciting sport on
Earth), but it is refreshing, and you'll enjoy it.
