RE: Will Little be there tonight?

I don't recall seeing him charged with a probation violation, leading me
to think that his probation had terminated. However, the lawful/unlawful
distinction here seems irrelevant since he has been permanently
dismissed from the team that is being honored tonight for violating his
agreement with Huggs, Goin, and UC. He has been kicked off the team and
there is no burden of proof needed for that to happen. Since he has been
kicked off the team I see no reason why he should be at the ceremony
unless he likes hearing plenty of boos. If he got booed at Midnight
Madness, I would imagine he would get even more boos now. Yes, he was
part of this year's team but he has been kicked out of the program. That
situation is far different from Logan and Imac who are no longer on the
team because they completed their eligibility. It is a really sad
situation considering his contributions, especially the Marquette game.

By being arrested and charged for felonious assult and kidnapping,
didn't he
violate his probation for being stopped May 19, 2001 in Northern KY with

possession of marijuana, speeding and DUI? I'm not a lawyer, but I think

violating probation is "unlawful"

Don't take this in the wrong way, but I would like to know what
unlawful
behavior has been proven so far? I am not in any way implying that I
don't
think something unlawful happened, just curious.

Dan,

Mr. Little has already been reinstated to the basketball program
once
with
the agreement that he would not have any more "brushes" with the
law.
For
UC to reinstate him yet again after this episode (which was
published by
every national news media outlet) would be terrible. It has already

been
proven Mr. Little was involved in some type unlawful behavior (the
extent
is
to be determined) thus proving to his coach, teammates and fans that
he
in
unable to abide by his previous committment of staying out of
trouble.

so...
does dismissed from the team mean he can't be reinstated? or is
just a
"brush" with the law also worth saying gone for good?

I mean, if all charges are dropped, and it turns out that it was a
false
accusation(which I personally doubt) is he reinstated? Not to
start a
crazy thread... but what else do we have to talk about...?

Dan

Now, I've defended Donald many times before, but please don't let
that
colour these thoughts: Why shouldn't he be there? He was part of
this
very
special team, no matter what buffoonery he fell into after the
season.
Give
the man credit for what good he's done, just as you hold him
responsible
for
the bad.

Of course, I wouldn't be surprised if there's a chorus of boos
should
he
be
introduced to the crowd tonight. Deserved? Probably. Just a
reminder,
though: this case has yet to see a courtroom.

I just stopped by the UC Ticket Office next door to the basketball
office at
The Shoe and Donald Little was walking into the office just as I
was
leaving. I think Donald just might be there tonight.
