If this is the case, USC fans must have a heck of a time.  A famous alumnus
who won the Heisman and murdered 2 people, and is walking the streets.
Great publicity for them.  The OJ school.

People need things to write.  If this were to be a losing program.  This
discussion never takes place in the media.  When you win more than you lose.
People are going to take shots.  More than likely it is because of the
attention he got for West Virginia wanting him so bad.  This irritated his
detractors.

Of course what Fortson, Martin, and Van Exel do in the NBA reflects on UC.
This is why we all pore over the stats in the morning paper to see how they
and the other former UC players did the night before.

We can't proudly proclaim their unique individual NBA accomplishments
without simulaneously accepting the same sort of "ownership" of the rest.

I am proud Oscar Robertson attended my university.  Part of my pride derives
from his accomplishments in the NBA.  At the end of the day, I hope to be
able to say the same of Fortson, Martin, and Van Exel.
