RE: Channel Cincinnati - UC Basketball Star Arrested

Any big HS player would like playing time in college and if Little is
not with the team this fall, that would be a plus for Lamptey.

But the latest concern with Lamptey is his grades and he may be a prop
48 candidate. He also has had a long term interest in staying close to
his home in Oklahoma. Needless to say those two programs are strong.

Maybe after his planned visit to Clifton, he'll change his mind.

"Huggs' Thugs at it again?" That's the snide comments I had to hear at
work
on this sad day for Bearcat fans and UC alums. This time I had to
admit
they
were right. Instead of adhering to a zero tolerance policy adopted to
correct a program previously out of control, they bent the rules in
half to

give this bum not just a second chance, but a third. That's not
Donald's
fault, that's their fault, the Coach and AD. And this latest fiasco is

squarely on their heads. To make matters worse they have yet to
dismiss
Little from the team and continue to provide him academic assistance.
Unbelievable. Why wait? Nobody needs to be wondering if he associated
with
the wrong crowd, or if he's guilty or not, or if he was drunk, or any
other

apologist self-interest compassion of why this three time loser is
still
around, or indeed, why he even played this year to begin with. How
hard is
it to NOT get arrested? Especially for aggravated assault and felony
kidnapping? The Bobs took their chances with him, maybe to help him,
but
more likely to win a few more games, and they lost, the program lost,
the
University lost, and in the end Donald lost. Big time. Unfortunately,
I
cheered Little too, I thought we needed him as well, and after a hard
swallow, was glad he was reinstated. But I'm just a shmuck. Those two
get
paid the big bucks to make tough decisions and look at the big
picture. To
understate the obvious, they chose poorly.

Yeah, "D" will attract some interest to play elsewhere.... but it'll
be
Lucasville, not Louisville. I just hope he can rebound better for the
other

criminals than he did for us. Sigh....

Sheez,

It is one thing if you had been saying that Donald should not have been
given another chance last month (and maybe you did and I do not
remember it), but to come out and say these things now is not right. You
seem to be judging the program in hindsight. That is not fair. I
think that Donald should have been given a chance last fall and
until today, I think most people would have agreed. But, if he has
any part in this incident, they should escort him to the door ASAP.

I can not believe that someone that has the opportunity to make
millions of dollars (yes if you are 6'11" and have any game you
can make millions somewhere), is STUPID enough to screw up
that potential. The rest of us stiffs that have to bust our humps to
make a buck would kill to be in that position. If he did this, he is
truly a jackass.

I was really looking forward to a front line of Little, Maxiell and
Hicks, but I guess that might not come true. The good news is that
Huggs has BJ and Hollman in the wings. Let's hook up BJ with Weight
Watchers ;-) The only difference is one less shot
blocker, and one less person to knock balls away from his
teammates ;-)

I predict that Huggs will have them back in the top-10 next year with or
without Donald.

Andy - waiting for the cloud to leave the UC Bball program ;-(
