I read this also, and have serious questions as to what it means. No one
wants to move into a successful program? So the way to get a topflight
coach to consider your position is to have a program that sucks? Why did
Pitino follow a Hall of Famer (even though UofL was somewhat down at the
end)? Does this mean that Duke, Kansas, Oklahoma, etc., etc., will be
unable to replace their current coaches with a top talent when they leave?
Is he saying that UC will have to hire a dud and go through at least several
"down" years before we can hire someone who will/can win?
