RE: Outside the Lines

I remember something posted on this Forum stating that the Cincinnati
piece wouldn't be that bad, even favorable, and I now agree.

Cincinnati was used as an example to highlight how the NCAA's
calculation of grad rates is flawed. We just happened to be the
institution chosen by ESPN to demonstrate this. I think any univ that
had a bunch of Juco's and transfers could have been used.

I was surprised to see Duke portrayed unfavorably, but also thought PG
Jason Williams held his own. He could have said 'no' to ESPN, but didn't
back away.

Huggs, LeGree, etc did a good job and represented us well.

I agree. I thought UC was going to be hammered. The segment on Duke
was a surprise, but Bobby Knight came out smelling like a rose.

Well, I had my reservations about watching it but I think overall, the

report on UC during the show was fair. Certainly, anyone watching it
knows that the 0% rate for UC simply is not true. Granted, 35% is not

stellar but it certainly is not 0. In all honesty, I think Arkansas
and Duke fans would be a little steamed after watching this. A lot
more focus was put on these programs.
