It's difficult at times but when I run into a misinformed idiot like you
describe below, I ignore him.  There just isn't any point arguing with
him.  His mind is made up and there is probably no way to change it.
The bottom line is:  UC fans know the truth and "the truth will set you
free".

I know this may get some people on this board riled up...however, I'm

sick and tired of trying to defend the Bearcats graduation rate issue,
UC's 
"band of criminals" image or "Thug persona" and the list goes on and

I'm a part time bartender in Chicago and every saturday night, I proudly

wear my UC hat while I'm slinging drinks and 9 times out of ten I

get in a pretty heated discussion with some drunk spouting off about all

the above mentioned issues, regurgitating all the journalistic nonsense
that 
writers like Tony Kornheiser publishes. Thus, being a die hard UC
basketball 
fan and a UC graduate, it kills me to see that the general public
outside of 
Ohio really has a dislike for UC.  So, whenever I find myself in one of 
those heated bar conversations, I say, "the basketball program that
Huggins 
and Goin have put in place has given UC the best chance at winning games
and 
still being competitive with the likes of Duke, Kentucky and other 
basketball powerhouses and you cannot dispute their results, period!"

It really comes down to either you love UC or you hate them.  Chances
are if 
you hate UC, it probably because you've been misinformed by the likes of

idiots like Tony Kornheiser.
